This, our first Bible Way Living Commentary, emphasizes why we respectfully but really do believe living according to the Bible is not only what our Creator requires, but it is quite simply the best way to go. Millions enthusiastically testify it is literarily, spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and scientifically sweet and satisfying.

  

We offer the following five considerations.

• We believe the Bible to be the Word of God. “. . .When ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God . . .” (2 Thessalonians 2:13)

• It is, therefore, God’s Word concerning earthly and heavenly life.

       “. . .Holding forth the word of life. . .” (Philippians 2:16)

• It claims to be the Word of truth.  "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. . ." (2 Timothy 2:15)

​​

• It is designed to be a pervasive entity.  “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16,17)

• We believe the Bible to be totally sufficient and the only Scripture we need. “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar." (Proverbs 30:5,6)
